Unfortunately, I cannot give out any property tax information until July 1st for summer taxes and December 1st for winter taxes.  I do not receive this information from the county until these dates.  If you need estimated tax amounts that information can be found at the Property Tax Payment Estimator link.

ESCROWED TAXES:

If your taxes are escrowed it is your responsibility to inform you escrow company of the tax amount due as well as the tax due date.

SUMMER TAXES:

Summer taxes are due September 14th.  Beginning September 15th a 1% per month interest penalty will be assessed.  You may apply for a deferment of penalties and/or interest on summer taxes based on income, age, disability, or military service status.  You  may access and print off a deferment form by following the link on the left.

WINTER TAXES:

Winter taxes are due February 28th.  On March 1st all unpaid property taxes are turned over to the county and must be paid at the county office.  Please contact them at 989-832-6850 to get correct amount due as there will be additional penalties applied.

OFFICE LOCATION:

When making a payment you may send it to the address above or you may drop it off at that same address.  If I am not available to take your payment you may leave it in the drop box.

Sanford Rd. is just north of the overpass on Stark Rd. then follow the signs at the end of the road.

RECEIPT:

Due to the high cost of postage a tax receipt must be requested by including a self-addressed stamped envelope with your payment.  You may also print a receipt by accessing the county website at the “Property Tax & Assessing Information” link on the left of this page.  This website is updated daily.

Lincoln Township does not accept credit card payments.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT POSTMARKS SO PLEASE ALLOW 5 BUSINESS DAYS FOR YOUR PAYMENT TO REACH THE TREASURERS OFFICE!

Didn’t receive a tax bill:  State statute says that even though you did not receive a property tax bill that does not excuse said property owner from paying their property taxes and a 1% interest penalty will be assessed.
