Ordinance Enforcement Officer Responsibilities
The Ordinance Enforcement Officer is responsible for carrying out and supporting the enforcement of township ordinances. Duties include:
- Investigating ordinance violations
- Serving notices of violation
- Issuing appearance tickets as authorized under Chapter 4 of the Code of Criminal Procedure Act
- Appearing in court or other judicial proceedings to assist in prosecuting ordinance violators
- Performing other ordinance enforcement duties as delegated by the Township Board or assigned by the Township Attorney
