NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Lincoln Township Planning Commission will hold a
public hearing on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at 6:30 p.m. at the Lincoln
Township Hall, 1882 N Hope Rd., Midland, MI 48642, for the purposes of
hearing comments regarding amendments to the Township’s zoning ordinance.
Proposed amendments include:

Updates to Chapter 3,
Section 3.3(f), changed from: REAR DWELLING PROHIBITED.
No building in the rear of and on the same lot with a principal
building shall be used for residential purposes except for watchmen,
caretakers, and domestic employees whose employment functions are related to
the function of the principal building; PROVIDED that all other requirements
of this Ordinance are satisfied. To: REAR DWELLING PROHIBITED.

Notice of Teleconference Meeting
Meeting of the Lincoln Township Board of Trustees May 12, 2020
In order to
comply with the State of Michigan Stay at Home Order, the Lincoln Township
Board will hold its April 14, 2020 via teleconference as allowed by the
Governor of Michigan’s Executive Order 2020-15 (Covid-19).
Effective immediately and continuing until April 15, 2020 at 11:59 pm, to
the extent that the Open Meetings Act, 1976 PA 267, as amended, MCL 15.261
to 15.272 (“OMA”) requires that a meeting of a public body be held in a
physical place available to the general public or requires the physical
presence of one or more members of a public body, strict compliance with
section 3 of the OMA, MCL 15.263, is temporarily suspended in order to
alleviate any such physical-place or physical-presence requirements, as
follows:
(a)
A meeting of a public body may be held electronically, including by
telephonic conferencing or video conferencing, in a manner in which both
the general public and the members of the public body may participate by
electronic means.

conduct a public meeting on Tuesday, June 11th at 7 p.m. at the Lincoln
Township Hall, 1880 N. Hope Rd., for the purpose of receiving comments on
the proposed draft of the Lincoln Township Five Year Parks & Recreation
Master Plan. The plan evaluates existing recreation opportunities,
reviews public opinion regarding recreation, establishes recreational goals,
and proposes a five-year schedule of improvements and other related items
that the Township wishes to pursue. A PDF copy of the plan is
available for review at

buildings, adding regulations for outdoor storage containers and updating
roof-mounted on site solar energy systems – Modifies Chapter 3 Section 3.8

Updates to the R-1, B-1,
B-2, M-1, and M-2 zoning districts to allow large-scale solar energy
facilities as Special Land Uses – Modifies Chapter 6 Section 6.4

The addition of the Special
Land Use requirements and standards that pertain to the development and
